Hi! I am Julian Peter Gerona. I'm a 4th year Information Technology student at Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna, specializing in cybersecurity. I build web and mobile software: interfaces in React and Astro, APIs in Express and Django, native Android in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose.
AI is part of how I build, and it has made me faster at turning ideas into working software. My software engineering background is what makes it work: I design the architecture, direct the tools, and make the final calls on what ships.
I try to live by kaizen, the Japanese idea of improving a little every day. I would rather get steadily better than wait to be perfect, so I keep studying, keep building, and let the small gains compound.

My 13-inch MacBook Air from 2015 has carried me through every project on this site, from first-year machine problems to my practicum. It's been slow for years, but it hasn't quit, and everything I've shipped so far has shipped from it.
